If you’re planning a boating day in Incline Village this summer you should note big changes are underway at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe, and they are directly affecting access for boaters.
The resort has launched a multi-year renovation project that began in March 2025 and will continue through May 2027. While the updates promise exciting enhancements to the property, they also come with significant temporary closures, especially for those who enjoy arriving by boat or using the Hyatt’s lakefront amenities.
No Lake Access or Pier Use
As part of the construction on the lakeside of the resort, the Hyatt’s private pier is closed—along with all lakeside beach activities and access points. That means no guest boat drop-offs, tie-ups, or dock access during this renovation period.
Additionally, the lakeside bar and dining area—including the beloved Lone Eagle Grill are closed. Lone Eagle, known for its signature cocktails and sunset views, officially closed its doors on February 27, 2025. With that closure, there’s currently no food or drink service available on the beach or pier.
What’s Still Open: For those arriving by land, the main hotel property and casino are still fully operational and accepting reservations for the summer.
Looking Ahead
The renovation promises a completely reimagined lakefront experience when complete in 2027, with rumors of a Nobu opening. Stay tuned for updates on when the Hyatt’s beach and pier are expected to reopen
