FAQ
Boat clubs offer an option for boat access without having to own or rent a boat. They are private clubs which means boats are only accessible to Members that join. Joining the club is a great option to get boat access with less cost than renting multiple times a season and without any of the hassle that comes with owning a boat. We handle all of the pain points that come with boating such as towing (you don’t even need a truck), launching, cleaning, maintenance, insurance and more meaning more time spent on the water with friends and family. None of our boats are ever chartered or rented so they are kept in much better condition and you know what you are getting every time you go out. Members are able to use unlimited days using a rolling reservation system.
We cover launch service in the cost of membership and can meet at Ski Beach in Incline Village (must have IVGID access to Ski Beach) or at Obexer’s in Homewood, CA (must purchase season launch pass). Members pay for the launch fee charged by the boat launch. Current rates are $25/day at Ski Beach and $400 for the season pass at Obexer’s.
We offer three membership levels including a weekday only membership, gold full access membership, and a corporate membership. There is a one time initiation fee and then monthly dues paid on the first of the month year round. Pricing can be viewed at elevatedwatersports.com/pricing. Members are also responsible for launch fees and fuel costs. Members may cancel at any time but are responsible for the rest of the years dues and will forfeit the initiation.
Reservations can be booked online or on the phone. Each member can have 4 days booked in advanced up to 32 days out. After one day or half day is used another reservation may be made. We also offer a waitlist and day of reservations that don’t count towards days that are already booked. There are no consecutive weekends and only 2 out of the 4 reservations can be weekend days to ensure equal access for all members.
While all members can access the full fleet of boats we do try and limit membership to 8 members per boat to ensure equal access.
All members are required to receive in person training to ensure they are able to navigate and operate all of the boats safely. Anyone that will be operating a boat during the season must go through the safety check and sign a waiver. We do recommend taking either the Nevada or California boater’s safety course prior to operating a boat on Lake Tahoe.
Boats have everything you need for a day on the water including life jackets, ski vests, tube, tow rope, wakeboard, and wake surf board. Water skis and kids equipment are available by request. Members are welcome to bring their own gear and we also offer discounts on Liquid Force. Some additional options are available for an added fee including coolers, ice, and stocking coolers.
Boats are insured however members must pay upon to the deductible or if damage is less than the deductible pay the amount to fix the damage and may be responsible for costs associated with lost reservations for other members.
Membership is on an individual or spousal couple (including children over 25) basis. Corporate memberships are available that allow for multiple authorized user on one membership.
